Each Mosa Mack lesson has an associated assessment.

In Lesson 1, students take a quiz that serves as a check for understanding. This quiz can be done either online or on paper. Lesson 2 & 3 are performance tasks and therefore contain performance assessments. Each performance assessment is divided into two parts. The first half contains a checklist that assesses whether the students demonstrated an understanding of the DCI content standards and whether they completed specific aspects of the lesson accurately. The second half assesses the Science & Engineering Practices on a rubric ranging from 1 (Emerging) to 4 (Advanced).

Teachers also have the option to include teacher comments and provide a final score and grade that correlates to their specific grading system.
