Lesson 1: The Solve

Phenomenon

Play the Phenomenon as a class, break up the kids into small groups and have them do the mini-lab (depending on the activity) as a hands-on activity.

Animation

Play the animation once as a whole class. Break kids up into groups of 3-4 and have them complete the questions and vocabulary activity collaboratively. Allow them to view the mystery as they answer the questions.

Lesson 2: The Lab

Do the presentation as a one-to-many lesson. Right after that, break up the class into groups of 3-4. Select check-in times for the kids to come back together as a class and share out their findings.

Lesson 3: Engineer

Just like Lesson 2, do the presentation as a one-to-many lesson. Right after, break up the class into groups of 3-4. Select check-in times for the kids to come back together as a class and present their final products.

If you'd like kids to type their answers online, invite them to join your class.

If you'd like kids to use the print-outs, use the download the student guides. Print them out and distribute to students. This is helpful during labs if you don't want students carrying their laptop around during class.
